We are the Black men's support group on campus- a group of men who desire to challenge the status quo and make a positive change in our community. Moreover, we have a vision to reach out to UCSB's broader community through meaningful collaborations with organizations from diverse parts of the social spectrum. First and foremost BPRO is a Black Male Caucus, with the vision of educating ourselves and the community. Our goal is to raise consciousness in 3 specific areas: Social, Political, and Cultural. Through brotherhood, we will uplift each other and be positive role models and leaders in our society. We recognize the plights of those who came before us and commend those who paved the way so we could call ourselves Young, Black AND Educated...

BPRO has begun a partnership with AAMI and has established a mentorship between the Men of BPRO and the young men of AAMI. By keeping contact anfd holding the students accountable, BPRO positively impacts the lives of high school students in the Los Angeles are and hopes to soon branch out to surrounding regions.
